The teopard padded slowly to a peak on the volcano, looking around and lifting his head. His pale eyes glinted, a tribute to his unease. Rift was not looking forward to this meeting. He sighed, looking up to the sky and roaring, his voice deep like a tigers, but his roar almost sounded leopard-ish. He called to the goddess Rikuanu, his tail twitching uneasily.

"I have been waiting, Rift." the voice thundered form high in the sky, and a cloud passed in front of the sun, blocking it and casting everything in shadow. "Tell me, did you accomplish anything? Or did you merely complain to Setsumo about how unfair it was that your little mistakes never got to see the light of day?" Rikuanu wasn't one to forget, the mating of a healer and messanger was such a terrible crime it was unheard of. unheard of, that is, until now.

"We discussed the absence of a healer in the TigerClan. We couldn't think of any way to find one, other than taking in a stranger. Setsumo Told me to talk to you about it," he replied, bristling slightly at the mention of his stillborn cubs. "And it was mostly Annika who did the whining about the cubs, I only mentioned that yes, we did something wrong," he added looked up to the sky, the stripes on his muzzle appearing almost painted on in the dim lighting.

"Indeed, the absense of a healer is a dire problem," it was no use talking about the cubs anymore. They were gone, and the both of them knew she couldn't, nor wouldn't, bring them back. The living one bore her curse, as well as her deadly mark. The price had been payed, an she would take furthur steps only when and if they furthur complained. For now, there were more important matters.
"Of course, the Tigers can not just pick up any old cat with an odd marking and make them the healer. I choose whether or not a cub is ment to be healer. Unfortunatly, no cubs heve been born recently. I will closly inspect the next litter of tiger cubs, and I will try my best to find a healer-to-be. Of course, when they grow up they may decline the position. Healers have power, but restrictions as well. For one thing, they arn't allowed to have a mate or cubs." the voice grew sharp at the last sentence. The Godess knew everyone wanted to have cubs one day, but if you agree to be healer, knowing full well you wouldn't be allowed such a thing...ugh. She just didn't understand. It seemed to her as if Rift and Annika were saying, "We're going to take the glory, but we won't bother following the rules we don't like."

"Yes, and the longer the Tigers go without a healer, the more trouble they could be in should there be an epidemic," Rift agreed, sitting down on the ledge. "I'm not quite sure, I haven't checked, but I don't think there are any mates in the Tiger Clan either, so there may not be any cubs for a while," he noted, glancing over the lands towards the Tiger Clan territory.

"Indeed, this is a terrible predicament the Tundra is in. And what is to be done? you can't very well go down there and tell everyone to have as many kittens as possible." a sudden bright light burst from a cloud, and a glowing figure decended; it was Rikuanu herself. some said that Rikuanu was part Lynx, part Tiger, part Leopard...Tynxotigard. But that wasn't true, such a creature would look strange. To tell the truth, the godess didn't look like a lynx, tiger, or leopard, but instead a species of cat all of it's own.

"I honestly don't know," Rift said, blinking as the goddess descended. "Finally nice to see you," he commented, nodding in respect. The years she had taught him, the messenger had only heard her voice, but never seen her.
